She Who Must Be Obeyed
Yesterday my brother John emailed copies of four old newspapers with little articles about family members. This one from 1925 is about my father’s older sister Hazel.
I have to admit I always thought of Hazel more as a strong personality than as a great beauty. She spent most of her adult life in Dallas, where everyone in the family visited her regularly until her death in 1997. She was 5′7″ and weighed 87 pounds when she died, but her mind was sharp as a tack. I still miss her and so do my children.

Stopping by to say hello….gloomy day here. The Saints play tonight, I have my Saints doll out (made by a nun) hope she helps them win….I do think I should have it blessed again.
I have a new URL and I put it in the comments. Have a good day!

Those articles must have made fascinating reading, I love looking at old newspapers! I enjoyed the cupcake link lower down too
Thanks so much for your sweet words regarding Dave. I’ll let you know how things go when we’ve seen the consultant on Thursday. I suspect he will want Dave in hospital so they can do tests.
Love x
Hope the week goes well schoolwise, I’m getting a real kick out of seeing these kids improve, I’m sure you’ll know exactly how I feel
PS Love the halloween topper!

Hi Julia,
This is pretty wild. I would love to have an old article like that about a family member. I just put up a tagboard tonight so you use that instead of email if you stop by. Blessings….

Hi Julia,
Hazel sounds like a special lady. I have a dearly beloved great-aunt like that. She is my grandmother’s younger sister and a great source of family stories.
Hope you are having a good week.

Hello my friend,
Thanks so much for stopping by. Dave isn’t dialysing for long enough, he needs to do it all through the day now instead of just at night time. The doc is hoping this will eradicate the probs he’s currently having. Will tell more at blog when I have more time.
Love and hugs x
