Day at the Museum

Yesterday Alexander and I did the Children’s Museum of Acadiana and later Toys R Us - just the two of us. We had a wonderful time as you can see from this photo of Alexander and Snoopy in front of Toys R Us. Our only bad moment was caused by his wanting the shopping cart instead of a toy in the museum store, so I took him to Toys R Us and bought him the Fisher Price version. That’s what grandparents are for, I hear, spoiling kids. (PS I’ll pay overdue visits soon, hopefully tomorrow. Ton of schoolwork after babysitting Saturday through Sunday.)

Hi Julia, Alexander is so grown up already, he’s so cute with Snoopy. You seem to have had a wonderful day spoiling him :) Have a great week, hugs

Hello, brilliant to see that Snoopy is still well loved by children! I was Peanuts mad when I was in my teens :)
Alexander looks very happy and you were quite right to spoil him :) We’ll be doing lots of that next week when we visit Robyn (18 months) and Tyler (6)!
I took a look at the Children’s Museum link and was particularly interested in the Chagall touring workshop. How I’d love to take my class to something like that! Found lots more info here:

Ahhh yes, how we pay for having ‘time off’ at the weekend :(
    Lots of love x

    Happy Wednesday Julia;

How wonderful to spend a whole day with Alexander. Thank goodness for grandmothers! If we don’t spoil our grandchildren, who would!! :) Enjoy him while you can as they grow up way too fast.

He looks so adorable sitting there with Snoopy. My kids and “I” grew up together loving Charlie Brown and Snoopy. My daughter who is 46 (the day before Thanksgiving) both have Peanuts collections and holiday DVDs.

Have a wonderful day and rest of the week my friend. ~Hugs~

Hi Julia, Sounds like you had a lovely time with Alexander, the picture with Snoopy is adorable. Hope you’re having a nice weekend. *hugs*

    Hi Julia-
Alexander is getting so big! The museum sounds like a lot of fun. I had an annual pass to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum when my son was small. He’s a bit too old for it now. :-) I’m so glad you’re enjoying your adorable grandbaby!

    ((Hugs))

    Hi Julia,
Love the pic of Alexander and Snoopy.
I am back in Georgia. I know have Nicky until Carrie finds a sitter where she is in Maine/New Hampshire.
I have a lot of catching up to do. Hopefully, that will happen soon. I have to get Nicky into our routine here.
    Hugs

    Hi Julia,
I guess it just wasn’t the right time to make the move to New England. I wasn’t happy with the school system up there. I don’t want to subject Brian to that educational system there anytime soon. Maybe after he graduates (I will be about 90 years old then-) we will think about the move.
Have you started teaching pastoral poetry to the teenagers?
I hope you have a wonderful day.
    Hugs
