Wednesday

Although we’re dodging Dolly today, it’s still obvious there’s a hurricane in the Gulf. There’s a weird wind that comes and goes, just a little note from Mother Nature to remind us how lucky we are.

We babysat for a few hours today while Alexander’s parents went for fingerprinting and other school board paperwork. Having them in the same town is pretty much a win win situation for everyone.

Well, school is just around the corner, and there’s much work to be done. I guess I’ll have to become efficient again, but something in me keeps saying tomorrow!

Hurricanes would scare the crap out of me! Give me a good old earthquake anyday - at least we don’t know when they’re coming so there is no pre-angst.

Hi Julia, I was wondering where you had gotten to, but after reading your post I can see that you were nicely occupied. Dolly is wreaking havoc today in Texas. We had some disturbance here today nearby and lost our electricity for a couple of minutes, don’t know what that was about. I’m glad it’s not anywhere near 107F here, but wish we could get a few days of sunshine in a row. I can’t believe you are already getting ready for school, seems like your break just started. Have a nice end of the week. *hugs*

Hi Julia: That pic is so cute. I hope all is well this AM. I’d hate hurricanes! HUGS

Hello and thanks for dropping by, glad you know someone to pass the book on to and good news re the little man :) I hadn’t heard about Dolly but then I haven’t been watching the news too much lately. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get any closer to you!
Gosh I know how you feel about going back to school and having to be in that organised frame of mind again! Very hard to do when you’ve had a good few weeks of relaxation. When do you start back? BTW I did a post only a few mins after you dropped by :) Lots of love xxx

Hi Julia, well I missed last week, but my daughter scolded me so I’ll put up something even a sentence on thursday so everyone won’t worry. *smiles* You need to post weekly at least. Esepecially with school fixing to start. Glad the kids enjoyed their cruise. I am doing ok, slowly getting better and it’s miserably hot and humid here too. I have difficulty with eating and not getting nauseated. Although I’m losing well for a change. Think of you often. I’ll be around and come by next week. Tell then. Love and ~hugs~ always.

We also have the weird wind & now it’s cloudy. I sure am grateful for Dolly, I’m terrified of hurricanes. Enjoy your last weeks of vacation, hugs

    Hi Julia,
I am glad you didn’t get the brunt of Dolly and that you are all safe.
I am trying to get Brian and myself motivated for school and become more efficient. It, also, isn’t working. We have become to used to getting up later and going to bed later. Ho Hum!
    Have a wonderful Saturday.
    Hugs

To let you know that my sister is the slowest person on earth..it just blows my mind. Once it took her 2 1/2 hours to eat three crabs and a small salad. Bobby and I went to bed…we couldn’t wait for her to finish…we left her to clean up! You can come back to read about her stay with me this time…as usual total commotion! I have a small calendar on my desk and everyday there is a new saying…I loved this one and thought about you! “Books Fall Open” “You Fall In” Hugs!

    Hi Julia,

I am VERY glad to hear that mother nature was kind to you this time around. I know it is always heard to get back of the swing of things after the summer break. Think of you and wishing you a wonderful week a head.
